Ingredients

  • 1 small green cabbage chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Method
 

  1. Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and sear in a pot until golden brown on both sides. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  2. Chop the cabbage, carrots, celery, and onions into bite-sized pieces.
  3. In the same pot, sauté chopped onions and garlic until softened and fragrant.
  4. Pour in the broth, return the chicken to the pot, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer until the chicken is tender and shreddable.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking to avoid overcooking.
