Ingredients
  

  • 3 lbs chicken wings, split into drumettes and flats
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (optional)
  • to taste your favorite BBQ sauce (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your pellet grill to 225°F, using hickory wood pellets for best flavor.
  2. In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil until evenly coated.
  3. Add the garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and brown sugar to the wings and mix well.
  4. Let the wings sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Place the seasoned wings directly on the grill grates and smoke for 45 minutes to an hour.
  6. Increase the grill temperature to 400°F to crisp the wings, flipping them occasionally.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness; the internal temperature should reach 165°F.
