  • 2 c.s Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 2 c.s Butter
  • 2 c.s All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk or cream
  • 100 g Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Italian herbs
  • optional Red pepper flakes
  • optional Lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Slice chicken into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken until golden brown on all sides, about 6-8 minutes, adding minced garlic during the last minute.
  4. Set cooked chicken aside.
  5. In the same skillet, melt butter and stir in flour to create a roux.
  6. Slowly whisk in milk or cream until smooth.
  7. Add grated Parmesan, nutmeg, salt, and pepper to the sauce and let simmer until it thickens.
  8. Cook bow tie pasta according to package instructions, adding broccoli florets two minutes before draining.
  9. Combine pasta, broccoli, chicken, and sauce in the skillet, tossing gently until coated.
  10. Serve with extra Parmesan and a sprinkle of parsley, if desired.
