  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon black peppercorns, crushed
  • 2 pieces bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Method
 

  1. Start by mixing the soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, peppercorns, bay leaves, and sugar in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over it, ensuring each piece is coated.
  3. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high and lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
  5. Remove the chicken from the fridge and let it come to room temperature.
  6. Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  7. Baste the chicken with leftover marinade during the first few minutes for extra flavor.
  8. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
