Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar (or lemon juice), minced garlic, oregano, basil, and honey if using.
  2. Whisk until well blended.
  3. Season the marinade with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Place chicken in a large resealable bag or dish and pour the marinade over the top.
  5. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours for best results).
  6. Remove chicken from the marinade and cook using your preferred method (grilling, baking, or pan-searing).
