Ingredients
  

  • 200 g Chicken breasts
  • 100 g Mozzarella cheese
  • 200 g Marinara sauce optional
  • 100 g Spinach optional
  • 50 g Pesto optional
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs for breaded chicken, optional
  • 1 c.s Olive oil
  • q.s. Salt
  • q.s. Pepper
  • 5 leaves Fresh basil leaves for garnish, optional
  • 10 ml Balsamic glaze for garnish, optional

  • Skillet
  • Oven-safe baking dish
  • Sharp knife
  • Toothpicks
  • Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. If using breadcrumbs, coat the chicken in breadcrumbs.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Cook chicken breasts until golden brown.
  4. If making stovetop mozzarella chicken, top each chicken breast with mozzarella cheese and cover until melted.
  5. For baked mozzarella chicken, place marinated chicken in an oven-safe dish, add marinara sauce, mozzarella, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  6. For stuffed chicken, slice a pocket in each breast, mix mozzarella with spinach, fill the pocket, seal with toothpicks, and bake.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil or drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
